The Pakistani intelligence has warned HT was plotting uprising

ISLAMABAD – Pakistani intelligence agencies warned in April that the outlawed organisation Hizb ut-Tahrir (HT) was plotting an uprising in Pakistan with the support of sympathisers within the armed forces,

Intelligence issued a clear warning that the HT was attempting a “deep infiltration” of the military and academia, media reported.

The Criminal Investigation Department of the police called for taking “appropriate” steps to control the group, which seeks to establish its version of a caliphate in Pakistan.
